Steve, Keith & Billy Catch Report Week of 21st September 2019
This week saw newcomers Steve, Keith and Billy to Compton's Lake, and after four and a half months of hot weather and no rain, we finally saw cooler weather and rain, which pushed the carp into deeper water, but with two PB's for the week and eleven carp out in total, it didn't turn out too bad!
Keith had the better fishing of the week with nine out of the 11 carp caught, breaking his PB 3 times along the way, ending up with a cracking 41lb 5oz Mirror, catching all the fish with his own brand of bait 'FORT ANGLING'.
Steve managed a couple of carp out at the end of the week with a PB at 40lb 2oz with yet another stunning Mirror. He also had a very pretty young Mirror which will be one to look out for in the future! Both of his fish were also caught on 'FORT ANGLING' baits!
Billy had a run early in the week and lost what looked like a good Common, but try as he may, they just weren't playing ball.
An enjoyable week, if somewhat miserable weather, and for two anglers to go home with PB's, not a bad week at all.
