We welcomed Richard on his first visit to Compton's Lake last weekend.
The week started with hot weather and switched the bigger fish back on to spawning, but despite this, fishing away from the areas the fish were spawning, Richard still managed to land carp throughout the week.
The weather cooled down midweek, with bigger fish starting to show and move around again, with Richard losing a good 40 plus at the net, but then followed up with a 20lb 15oz Mirror moments later.
Fish of all sizes were coming out, including some stunning little Mirrors which will be amazing fish to catch in 2 to 3 years time!
Very happy for Richard as he broke his Mirror PB with 'Jupiter' on the bank at 45lb 3oz. 'Jupiter' was out in August last year at 38lb so a good 7lb up and heading towards being a 50lb plus this year.
Richard in total landed 42 carp for the week, including a couple of 40's, a few 30's and lots of 20's and late teens that are coming through, and as usual, the superb Dynamite Baits Complex-T did the business, alongside some great angling!
We look forward to seeing Richard back in September 2019.
