This week we saw Lea & Dave back with us again, arriving to warm weather, only for it to change into one of the wettest weeks we have had!
Dave started off well with his first fish on the bank being a new PB at 50lb 7oz. This was followed by a 42lb Mirror and a 47lb Mirror, and then another new PB with Jupiter at 52lb 15oz.
It looked like it was going to be a superb week, and then the heavens opened. It seemed to switch the bigger fish off, but Dave could do no wrong and wherever he cast his bait, a fish would follow. Lea had a difficult week and just could not get on the fish, but with patience and perseverance, he was rewarded with a cracking Mirror at 36lb 15 oz and also managed to land a Common.
Sometimes you just can do no wrong and Dave had what we refer to as a 'Red Letter Week' and as well as his big Mirrors, he followed it up with some lovely Commons up to 32lb 7oz.
They both left happy and eager to return later this year in September, where I am sure Lea will be finding the fish again and hopefully, it will be a much drier and warmer week!
Enjoy the video and photos of some of their catches!
